The Boys Spin-Off Series Is A Go At Amazon, And It's Full Of Hormonal College-Aged Supes

The mysterious college-set spin-off of Amazon’s hit series The Boys has been brewing for a while now, but it has finally been given the official go-ahead by the studio. According to a press release, the spin-off has been green lit to tell the story of “America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International.)”

The show, still untitled, will be “irreverent” and “R-rated” while exploring the lives of “hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test.” So, exactly the sort of messed-up, raunchy superhero content you’ve no doubt come to expect when watching The Boys, but with more teens and twenty-somethings in the mix.

The spin-off will star Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Pau McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will share showrunning duties, and familiar faces from The Boys creative team, like Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen, will serve as executive producers.

In a statement, Kripke shared his excitement for the project. “Much like Mork & Mindy spun-off from Happy Days–which is an insane and true fact–our spinoff will exist in the Vought Cinematic Universe, yet have a tone and style all its own. It’s our take on a college show, with an ensemble of fascinating, complicated, and sometimes deadly Young Supes. Michele and Tara are stone-cold geniuses, we’re thrilled to have them steer this ship, and grateful to Sony and Amazon for the opportunity. We love this show and can’t wait for you to see it. Also, Baywatch Nights spun-off from Baywatch, and it had vampires. VampiresCome from Sports betting site VPbet!”

No air date has been set for the spin-off–it will probably receive a title first. The Boys will return to Amazon for a third season.
